Two months later, time for some Rafale news. ![]()
The Rafale C exterior model is now 100% complete. The landing-gear bays were the last missing pieces and are modeled with a very high level of detail, as you can see on our screenshots. Several liveries are already in the simulator, including multiple Rafale Solo Display schemes, with more in production. The aircraft already supports a wide selection of external stores: Meteor, MICA IR/EM, AASM, GBU-12, Damocles pod, 1250/2000 L fuel tanks, and more.
The cockpit’s 3D model and textures are also finished, covering all panels, surfaces and fine details. A major task is ongoing on avionics, which we will begin to showcase soon. This includes the HUD, the central and lateral displays, plus the HOTAS logic that ties everything together.
We are also developing a fully custom fly-by-wire system, recreating the aircraft’s control laws with different envelopes depending on external stores. High-alpha behavior, G-limiters, roll-rate schedules and pitch-rate controllers are all coded from scratch. Mono-throttle operation is also fully simulated, with its auxiliary levers and their IDLE/NORM/FIX modes.
Regarding our release planning: we initially aimed for a launch at the end of 2025. After reviewing the remaining workload, it is clear that such a date would force us to cut features or compromise on the level of fidelity we are targeting. Instead, we prefer to take the necessary time to deliver the Rafale at the standard we expect. In the long run, this is a much better outcome, as the extra time allows us to push the aircraft even further than we originally planned.
